Other notable sites worth a stop include the Hato Caves, which are over 300,000 years old, and Shete Boka National Park, home to 10 inlets (bokas) and the nesting grounds of three different types of sea turtles. Curaçao Carnival
February
Curaçao is home to the Caribbean’s largest and longest-standing Carnival celebrations. The month-long cultural festivities include a variety of vibrant events like beauty contests, musical performances from the locals, parades with elaborate costumes, traditional cuisine experiences and more!
The North Sea Jazz Festival
August/September
The infamous, annual festival marks one of Curaçao’s most exciting weekends of the summer! It’s held at the World Trade Center grounds, located to the west of Willemstad, and features today’s biggest musical acts from around the world (and is not limited to just jazz artists).
Curaçao Dive Festival

This annual, international event supports sustainable tourism in Curaçao while celebrating in an appreciation of shared underwater experiences. There’s something for both divers and non-divers to enjoy from diving and snorkeling classes to music and nightly beach parties/barbeques. Some unique events are also available like a coral restoration workshop, lionfish hunting and underwater painting classes.
